Solomon Sono
Solomon was born in Mabopane, Pretoria, South
Africa where he attended school and matriculated at the Mabopane High
School in 1986. His subjects included economics, business economics,
biology, English, Afrikaans and Tswane. He has always shown an interest in
art doing drawing and painting and using clay from his surroundings to
form figures.
Since leaving school, Solomon worked as a security guard and then joined
the Tollgate company in 1991. He is stationed at a tollgate near to the
farm where he and his wife Nono and their two sons live and where Creature
Pots is situated.
Solomon has recently joined Creature Pots, making delightful freestanding
creatures, larger animals and birds in his free time. He is learning to
make pots in the style of the Creature Pots theme and is a valuable,
talented addition to the team.
